MARLBOROUGH, NEW ZEALAND
Named after the indigenous precious stone found in the region, Greenstone Point Wines are a true expression of Marlborough at its most elegant. All
fruit for the wines is sourced from company owned vineyards located in the Raparua area of Marlborough's Wairau Valley, where close attention has been
paid to finding the optimum terroir for each of their varietals.
The winemaker, Peter Evans, places a real emphasis on making wine in the vineyard - leaf plucking, shoot and fruit thinning, and constant water
management are all common practice here. In addition it is the philosophy of the company to control all aspects of the wine production process, so
every stage, including bottling, is carried out in their own facilities. The Greenstone Point wines are therefore about as 'boutique' as you are
likely to find - full of character, and at the same time elegant and understated.
