Viu Manent is an intrinsic part of the history and tradition of Chilean wines. The company has been fully owned by the family since its beginning, when, in 1935, Don Miguel Viu Garcia and his two sons established 'Bodegas Viu' in Santiago. Since that date the company has acquired three vineyards in the Colchagua Valley, from where their wines are now exclusively produced.
Today Viu Manent has the perfect balance between tradition and modernity - centennial vineyards alongside those of more recent planting & traditional barrel cellaring alongside state of the art winery operations. The Viu family has also been joined at the winery by acclaimed Kiwi winemaker Grant Phelps, whose invaluable expertise is enabling Viu Manent to produce wines perfectly suited to European markets.
